Mierdmaids ,,,
In the same period, from 17th October to 4th December 2024 we also hosted Inês Filipe, Wojciech Rybicki and VictorPiano with their project "mierdmaids ,,,"
Emerging from the foam, the project combined choreographic performance with a multimedia installation. It was constructed around the relationship between sailors and creatures from the depths—exiles, disgusting and different.
‚mierdmaids ,,,’ was a reflection on the death of the Earth, which confronts us with challenges but also opportunities to create a new model of solidarity and collaboration.
The artists approached the topic from queer, interspecies, posthuman and highly poetic perspectives. They've used dance, narration and a variety of digital media to create a multilayered performance, thought-provoking, emotionally touching and amusing in its hybrid shape.
The final presentation took place on Friday 29th November in Instituto da Vinha e do Vinho (IVV), gathered a big audience and received enthusiastic reactions. The project was supported by Culture Moves Europe, AgitLAB, Câmara Municipal de Águeda, and organised by Improvise and Organize.
